Gone but Never Forgotten
It’s with very heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Cory Richard Tottenham on July 18, 2024. Cory fought a long courageous battle with cancer, always trying to keep a smile and a positive attitude.
Cory was born and raised in Revelstoke and after several moves for education and employment he finally settled in Lumby where he raised his 3 children – Ashlee, Kiera and Riley. Cory’s love of computer gaming led into his career where he spent his working years in the Computer Industry. Starting in surveillance with the casino, he decided to continue his education and went to college for Information Technology. That took him to the Oil & Gas industry in Alberta where he got a chance to travel to Texas and Nunavut for the National Energy Board. Deciding to return home he went to Kal Tire in Vernon and finally with Tolko Industries.
The family would like to thank the medical community that helped Cory achieve his goal of seeing all 3 kids graduate. Dr Ed Hardy and the entire team at the Cancer Department in Vernon Jubilee Hospital, the nursing staff that checked in regularly, the “vampires” that did his bloodwork every other week – you all the meant the world to him and were his constant companions over the journey. Dr. Lindsay Pritchett who even stopped by Hospice to check on him right to the very end. Thanks to Kyle & the team at the Lumby IDA and to the team at Nolans Pharmacy who made his final days comfortable. And finally, to the amazing folks at Vernon Hospice House who took such good care of him over the last month of his life. Cory thanks each and every one who was involved in his journey through life.
Cory was predeceased by his parents, Bob & Noreen Tottenham, he is survived by his 3 children Ashlee, Kiera and Riley, sister Cindy and brother Mark (Selena), nieces & nephews Rebecca, Katrina, Rob, Kevin, James, Ken, Kathy, & Jen, great-nieces & nephews Cash, North, Farrah, Elliott & Roscoe, along with Aunts, Uncles and cousins, as well as his special family members – Winston & Aello (dog & bird).
A memorial is being held on Sunday, August 18th at 1:00 at the Enderby Legion – 909 Belvedere Street, Enderby. Please bring your favourite story to share and of course a smile.

I met Cory when he moved to Calgary many years ago, we both worked at computer city. Throughout the years… I more and more looked towards Cory as a bit of a mentor and an example.
I am forever thankful for him for lightning a fight under me in my youth and for pulling my head outta my ass and never sugar coating the truth. You had such a profound impact on my life and the direction it went. I owe a lot of my personal success today … from the wise words you shared. Thank you!
Cory, You will forever have a place in my heart and mind my friend.

His accomplishments are vast and am proud to say he was my friend!
