Hugo Stoof – July 2, 1947 to June 13, 2024
Our dear Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully at Vernon on June 13, 2024.
With a love for the simpler things in life, he found immense joy in the tug of a fish on his line, quick with a joke to share, singing Dutch songs and most of all hearing the laughter of his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held at East Hill Community Church on Saturday, June 29 at 11 am. All are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Okanagan Hospice Society

Our prayers are with your family and your mom.
Gerda and family,
My deepest sympathy with the death of Hugo! I can come for the funeral, but I can also come later when family, friends etc. are gone! Let me know which you would prefer!

Dear Gerda and family. I know this will be a great loss to you all, but know that one day, when the time is right, you will remember him with more smiles than tears.

But we know that God is faithful and will stand by you
and your family
With Love from Bert & Agnes
Our sincere condolences to you and your family Gerda.
Our thoughts are with you all at this time may you find comfort as time goes on.
Dear Stoof’s family,
It’s Hayley’s friend from Kingston, Ontario. I wanted to express my heart and hugs to the whole family. I had the honour of meeting Hugo, a several times when he came to visit Hayley’s family and children in Kingston. He was a lovely gentleman who loved his family and grandchildren very much. I saw how proud he was as a grandpa to Maddie, Daniel, and Annie. He was so proud of Hayley, with her career as an actor. I will never forget him. I believe he is smiling in heaven, looking at his family on earth.
Sending you all my love and hugs.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth
Dear Auntie Gerda, Savaya & family, and Hayley & family,
Our deepest condolences to you and your families, on the passing of Uncle Hugo.
We pray for you all during this difficult time. May you take comfort in knowing that Uncle Hugo is no longer suffering and that we will all be reunited someday!
We will miss him and always remember his good humour and many kindnesses he has shown to us all!
Much love,
Mark and Darlene
We are praying for our extended family for the loss of Uncle Hugo. We have such fond memories of him at the family reunions, always joking around with us kids! We also got our first dog Fluffy from him when we lived in Taber and his family in Coaldale. He will be missed dearly!
