It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Teresa Joy Veitch. Loving Wife, Mother, Daughter and Friend.
Teresa passed away on March 28, 2026, surrounded by her family and friends.
Teresa leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Ian. Mother to son Tyson, and her trusty side kick Sarge, the family dog.
Teresa was predeceased by son Wesley in 2021 and infant daughter Erin in 1991 as well as her In-laws, Walter and Isobel.
Teresa is survived by her mother Dolores, 4 brothers and birth mother Carol.
Teresa was born on January 19, 1966 in Calgary, AB. She moved to Vernon in 1979 and soon after met Ian. They married in 1985 and were blessed with Wesley in 1985. Baby girl Erin was to be their angel in heaven. Soon after came another blessing, Tyson was born in 1992.
Family meant the world to Teresa, and she loved her Sunday family dinners.
She was a lover of music and loved to dance. But her happy place was digging in her flower garden and her special rock garden.
Teresa worked a number of jobs over the years, several in the hospitality industry. But oddly, she was best known in her most recent in the trades as Mudda Teresa. Of this, Teresa was very proud.
Teresa will be missed by all that knew and loved her… her laugh and smile will be remembered always.
Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 25th, 2026 at the Vernon Curling Club (3400 39 Ave., Vernon, BC).

Condolences to Ian and family, very sorry for your loss. Teresa was a wonderful person. I had the privilege of first meeting and getting to know her and Ian from our days at the Green and onwards. I may have been “slightly” over served on some occasions, by both. Many fond memories, rest in peace Teresa.

Teresa was an extraordinary person—warm, genuine, and deeply loved by everyone who knew her. The two of you together were something special… a rare kind of magic that people don’t forget.
Please know that you are in my thoughts. You and Teresa have both been very meaningful in my life, and I will always carry that with me.

Oh my gosh, I’m in disbelief that Theresa has past. She was larger than life itself! We were school mates. My sincere condolences to her family. Gone way to young, never forgotten.

My heart breaks for you both. I was so saddened to hear about Teresa’s passing a couple weeks ago. , She was such a wonderful friend and although I have been away for the last 10 years, I was so happy I saw her at Magz and Robs Birthday.
We had a great visit catching up and I will forever cherish our time that night and over the last 30 years.

I am so very sorry to hear about Teresa’s passing. Although I didn’t keep in touch with her over the years, I will always remember her as a kind and considerate (former) sister-in-law. She was a beautiful lady, inside and out. My condolences to the entire family. 💔
Even though I couldn’t tell you about a specific memory I have, I have always know my auntie to be the kindest, warmest person. I was always shy around her when I was little because I just thought she was so beautiful and so cool. I’ve always thought that about her, beautiful, kind, warm and a really cool person to be around.
