In Loving Memory
Sandra Ann Soderburg

On February 25, 2026, Sandra Ann Soderburg went home to be in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father.
Sandra (Sandi, to those who loved her) was born on October 22, 1954, in Consort, Alberta, the second oldest of eight children. In 1974, she married the love of her life, Earl, after being set up on a blind date by her cousin. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, raising four sons in central Alberta before later moving to Fort McMurray. Sandi had the privilege of serving her community throughout her career as both a home care worker and a teacher’s aide. Upon retirement, Sandi and Earl left the northern cold behind and settled in the warmer climate of Enderby, British Columbia.
Sandi had a deep love for the outdoors. She was passionate about gardening, birdwatching, and exploring nature. She cherished time spent digging in the garden and searching for unique rocks wherever she went. She wasn’t afraid to get a little dirty while looking for bugs, and even snakes. She was always game to sit outside on warm August nights, watching meteor showers with anyone willing to stay up late. She loved all of these activities, but they were made even more special when shared with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved so much.
Sandi loved people deeply and served others with a willing heart. She was especially grateful for the opportunity to participate in mission work in Uganda, sharing Christ’s love in both word and deed. Her kindness, generosity, and steadfast faith touched many lives.
Sandi is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Kenneth Soderburg; her sons Jason (Heather) Soderburg, Dustin (Naomi) Soderburg, Drew (Jessica) Soderburg, and Jarett (Cheryl) Soderburg; her eight cherished grandchildren; her brothers and sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Alex Evashkevich and Laura Duby.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in the assurance that she is whole, restored, and at peace in the presence of her Saviour.
A celebration of Sandi’s life will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 1:00 pm at the Ashton Creek Christian Fellowship (The Old School Building) – 11 Rands Road, Enderby, BC.

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15
Sandi has been a good friend for decades. I was privileged to walk part of her life’s journey with her. She was a wonderful godly lady. So many good memories. So many good talks over the years.
As her disease took its toll on her life, she found it very hard to make conversation on the phone. She would phone when she was having a better day, and tried her best to communicate with me. She struggled to get the words out, “You talk, Pat. Sandi was happy when I spent time with her because many people would hang up without knowing who was calling.
The last conversation that I had with her on the phone was when she struggled to say, “Pat, I have finally had the Joy of the Lord return to me”. What better news can one hear?
Revelation 14:13 – “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”

Earl and family
So sorry to hear of Sandi’s Passing. We would love to be there tomorrow to be with you all, but we bury Georgia’s Leo tomorrow in Airdrie.
With love and prayers,
Fred (Donna) Vert
Our thoughts and prayers are with you today Earl and family. When I think of Sandy, I remember the day she phoned and asked me if I’d like the large rocks she’d collected for your yard on the farm. You were leaving here and we’d moved to my mom’s house here . Those rocks became the centre of our water feature in the front yard
May the God of all comfort be with you today. Eleanor Snook
