It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Paulette Fremstad on May 17, 2026, at the age of 82. Born in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, on February 22, 1944, Paulette lived a life filled with music, community devotion, and love for her family.
A Life of Harmony and Service
Paulette was a woman of immense talent and grace. Music was one of her greatest passions, and she brought joy to many through her beautiful piano playing. Her commitment to community and tradition was further highlighted through her long-standing, dedicated involvement with the Order of the Eastern Star.
Family Ties
Paulette was predeceased by her son Kevin Killeen, beloved husband, Bill Tilson; her parents, Norman and Elizabeth Fremstad; and her brother and sister-in-law, David and Maureen Fremstad.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and will be deeply missed by her surviving family:
- Stepson: John Tilson (Rhonda)
- Daughter-in-law: Rebecca Van Allen (Steve)
- Stepson: Rob Tilson (Nok)
- Granddaughters: Shenice Brown, Jack Killeen, Vanessa Tilson and Maylissa Tilson
- Great Grandchildren: Eli Brown and Isaiah Brown
Memorial Service
A celebration of Paulette’s life will take place on June 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Knox Presbyterian Church. Family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Paulette are invited to attend and honor her memory.

I am sorry to hear that Polly has passed away. We had many great laughs during our working years at RBC and later on when I would see Polly she was always smiling. Her love of the Eastern Star was a conversation as my Mother in Law was also a life time Member. Sending my heartfelt condolences to John & Rhonda & families.
I am so sorry for your loss. It is comforting to know she is now out of pain and has joined Bill. My thought and prayers are with the family! ❤️❤️
