Lawrence (Larry) E. Delanoy
August 10, 1941 - August 6, 2026
In Loving Memory
Lawrence (Larry) E. Delanoy

Lawrence (Larry) E. Delanoy passed away peacefully from complications of kidney failure on August 6, 2026, surrounded by the care of the compassionate doctors and nurses at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
Larry was born and raised in Radville, Saskatchewan, the fourth of seven children born to George and Blandine Delanoy.
As a young adult, Larry began his career in the oil patch as a battery operator, steadily working his way up through the industry. His dedication and hard work eventually led him to own and operate a successful oilfield maintenance business in Lloydminster, Alberta for many years prior to his semi-retirement.
In 1989, Larry and his beloved wife, Blanche, relocated to Vernon, BC. A few years later, in 1993, Larry served as the general contractor to build their home in Armstrong, BC, near the Royal York Golf Course. Larry dearly loved the beautiful valley where Armstrong sits and took great pride in serving as the golf course marshal in his spare time. He also started, owned and operated his taxi business in Armstrong, and enjoyed serving and meeting many people in the Armstrong area for over 10 years before fully retiring.
An active community member, Larry was a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 39 years. He was always up for a game of golf, curling, pool, or shuffleboard, enjoying both the competition and the camaraderie.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Blanche; his children, Cindy (Greg), Barry (Jo-Anne), Joanne, and Karen (Tony); seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is also remembered by his siblings, Adele (Willie), Judy, and Danny, along with many extended family members, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In accordance with Larry’s wishes, no formal service will be held at this time. He was deeply fond of Armstrong and was content knowing it would be his final resting place.
