In Loving Memory

Kathleen Lynn Lutz

Kathleen Lynn Lutz, born September 12, 1953 in Mission BC, passed away peacefully on August 4th, 2026 at Bastion Place in Salmon Arm BC. She lived her life with warmth and strength, those who knew her will remember her for the love she gave so freely to her family and friends.

Lynn was raised by her parents Robert and Kathleen Stowards, growing up on the family farm where she learned the value of hard work while raising her own calves and loving horses. She attended Dewdney School and carried a steady spirit of those early years throughout her life. In June 1966 they moved to Mara BC, where she made her home and found joy in the simple and meaningful rhythms of everyday life.

She was kind, family-focused, hardworking and strong, with a wonderful sense of humor that could lighten any room. Lynn loved to give people a hard time in the most affectionate way and being around family and friends was where she felt most at home. She was known for her delicious cooking and baking, always finding a way to make people happy through the meals and treats she shared.

Lynn is lovingly remembered by her husband Lyle, her children Greg (Erin), Kari (Bob), and Amanda (Jeff), grandchildren, Colson, Averi, Mila, Tayden and Isabel, Siblings, Walter (Judy), Sharon (Andy), Wayne (Lori), Leonard (Jacqui), and Robert (Tina).

She was a proud grandmother and cherished watching them play the sports they enjoyed. She also loved cheering on her favourite teams the Montreal Canadians and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Lynn found peace in gardening and in just being outside at home in Mara, caring for her vegetables, berries and flowers she loved so much.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at the Grindrod Community Hall.
