James Milton “Keith” Worden

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of James Milton “Keith” Worden, who passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 90. Keith was born on March 23, 1936, in Manitoba, being raised on the family farm in Ninette.

After a brief teaching career, Keith made his way out west to Armstrong after answering a help wanted ad for a parts department position at Noble Tractor. Throughout his working life, he worked in the parts department for three different farm equipment companies, where he helped local farmers find what they needed to keep their equipment running. Later, he worked at the Husky gas station, always greeting customers with a smile while filling up their gas tanks and washing their windows.

Community involvement and helping others less fortunate was always very important to Keith. Over the years he spent endless hours serving at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church as well as being involved in other organizations such as the Fish and Game club, Big Brothers, minor sports clubs, and others. Most recently he will be remembered for his “famous” birthday window, where any acquaintance of his could expect to see their name appear on their special day.

Keith will be fondly remembered by numerous nephews and nieces and other close friends, who without a doubt were his true family.

A service to celebrate Keith’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the Odd Fellows Hall (3005 Wood Avenue, Armstrong).
