James “Jamie” Sherwood

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jamie Sherwood of
Kamloops, BC, on October 16th, 2026, at 68 years old. He is survived
by his loving wife, Brenda; their children Jessica (Kevin) Sherwood of
Santa Rosa, California, and Alex (Nicole) Sherwood of Kamloops, BC, as
well as grandchildren Alistair, Felix, Fiona, and Remy. Also left to
cherish his memory are his sister, Karen Archibald, and brother, Scott
Sherwood, as well as his mother Evelyn Sherwood. Jamie was predeceased
by his father, Dan Sherwood.

Jamie was born in Ottawa and moved to Kamloops at age 16. He met
Brenda in Kamloops, where they raised Jessica and Alex in Juniper
Ridge before moving downtown. He worked as a Red Seal Partsman at
Finning Tractor, before working in the building supply industry in
sales & management. He finished his career at Motion Industries as an
Operations Manager. Jamie and Brenda enjoyed many trips – going places
like China, India, Turkey and Europe. Camping was another passion of
his, with or without the grandkids in tow.  He had a very short 4-week
battle with lung cancer. No formal funeral service will be held per
their wishes.
