July 14, 1935 to August 4, 2026
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Evan David Gamble, who passed
away peacefully on August 4, 2026 at the age of 91. Evan will be dearly missed by his family
and friends. He is now resting peacefully with his God Jehovah. Evan was predeceased by his
loving wife of 39 years Doris Gamble and his granddaughter Erin Green.
He leaves behind his three stepchildren Sarah Martineau (Denis), Gordon Green, Elmer Green
(Linda); grandchildren Christa, Tyrone and Jeffrey; and great grandchildren Clarabell and Billy.
He will also be remembered by his nieces and nephews in Ontario.
Evan will be remembered by all who knew him and will remain in the hearts of his family and
friends. As requested, there will be no service. The family and friends appreciate your thoughts,
love and support during this time.

I have known Evan and Dorris since I was 2 years old and went to the Falkland hall. They were 2nd grandparents to myself and many others! They were the 1st ones to ever put the love of Jehovah into my husband’s heart as a kid as well so we forever are thankful to them for this. I stayed with Dorris when Evan had an eye surgery years ago and even in her oxygen mask she was a fierce women! However last year when my son was 2.5 I ran into Evan at a meeting and at this point it was hit and miss if he remembered me but this time he did (I thought) and he’s telling me I have a stuffed animal for your sisters son when I see her next” me: “oh you mean my son” (my sister does not have any kids) Evan: looking dead into my eyes thinking I’m trying to rob my sister’s nonexistent child of the toy he wants to give her is just like “NO your sisters kid” (she sometimes has him at their meetings) I just went with it like oh ya sorry she’d love that and he barely responded before stop talking. So anyways he passed the toy on to my parents Derick and Zita who got it to us. At this age my son still named all his toys after what kind of animal it was so puppy, cat….but this toy he choose to name Evan cow and it is one that he sleeps with and loves to play with and its so special to all of us but now I just think it’s so much more meaningful because I give it a squeeze and know that my son won’t ever remember Evan but he unknowingly always has a part of him in our lives. And it always gives me a chuckle that a lifetime of memories Evan would have with me the last one he seemed to have of me is me trying to steal my sister’s kids toy from them haha. I can not wait to see him and his beautiful wife again and introduced our son to the both of them that we remember. Very sorry for all of your loss! He was a wonderful and loved man!
It was a pleasure to know such a faithful and loving servant of Jehovah. We loved to chat with him before the meetings and look forward to seeing him again in the new world. Will definitely miss him.
Evan was a TRUE “Gentle” Man.
We (my husband who is deceased now) and I met Evan years ago when we joined the Falkland Congregation.
I always appreciated Evan’s gentle Christian personality. He was always willing and ready to lend a helping hand to anyone.
I agree that he was not only a gentleman but also a “Gentle “ man.
He’s in his Father’s memory now as we look forward to seeing him again in God’s New World.
