In Loving Memory
Elsie Leotta “Lottie” Kozak

With heavy hearts we had to say goodbye to our Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, and best Friend
on April 29th, 2026. Born Elsie Leotta McDougall to Joseph and Agnus (Garcia) McDougall on May
5th 1936. Lottie was predeceased by her 1st husband Harry Scott. They lived in Falkland BC. They
had 7 children Laurie, (Benson) Louella, (Dusseault) Patricia, (Hanson) Lyle, and Donnie. Lottie was
predeceased by Henry and Noel. Lottie married the love of her life Bill Kozak in 1979, he
predeceased her in 2013. Lottie was a hard-working lady at any job she did, a logger, cook, hunting
guide, pinecone picker, she always made sure her family was fed. Hunting and being an artist were
her passions, Lottie’s art was the best. She painted, beaded (vests, moccasins, on clothes) made
jewelry, carved, and drew all of the wildlife, she loved the outdoors. Lottie lived life to the fullest.
Lottie touched the hearts of thousands and kept them all close to her heart. We all will miss this
beautiful Lady. Till we meet again Mom Love you to the big star and back Patty. A Celebration of life will be in Falkland, May of 2027.

Condolences to the family at this difficult time.
Grandma Lottie will forever live in my heart as a Legend.
Her stories will be shared for generations.
I will forever cherish her handmade gifts and her incredible Art.
Greatful I was able to say Goodbye and Love you forever ever Gram ❤️ In person. Sending love to family and friends from afar ❤️
My grandma was an incredible, hard working woman and the matriarch of our family and will be dearly missed. Being a First Nation/ Métis woman she went through a lot in her life but she always took it with grace and a smile. When they say they don’t make them like that any more, they’re talking grandma Lottie she was so strong and a fighter, she did whatever it took to take care of her family. She also lived her life to the fullest and touched so many lives. I’m going to miss are long calls where we talked about everything and I learned so much from you grandma but what I’m going miss the most is her stories from her life. I remember thinking wow! this woman has lived and seen more then most people ever will, she was truly amazing. You will be missed so many, until meet again I love you grandma ♥️
