In Loving Memory
Elaine Strother

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Elaine Strother on March 6, 2026. Elaine was born on June 22, 1946, in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Elaine was predeceased by her loving husband John, and leaves behind her children Danielle Strank (Ryan), Jeff (Janet), and Todd (Christine); her grandchildren Nathan (Mikhayla), Amy, Joshua (Haley), Jackson, Marcus (Emma), Matthew (Julia), Cory, Elly, and Jenna; and great-grandchildren Luka and Emerson.
Elaine was an excellent golfer who won many tournaments both as a youth and an adult. She was a proud member at The Dunes at Kamloops since it first opened and formed many lasting friendships on the course. She was also a founder of the Funleagers Slowpitch League in Westsyde. Mom & Dad were longtime season ticket holders of the Kamloops Blazers, dating back to the days of the Kamloops Chiefs. They also loved spending part of the winter in Arizona. Mom also poured so much love and time in her own yard, which was always beautifully maintained and admired by many.
One of Elaine’s greatest joys was cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events. Whether the games were close to home or far away, she was always there proudly supporting them as their biggest fan. She loved her Christmas game of who could count all the snowmen. Some of her most cherished memories were going on holidays with her loved ones.
Elaine will be remembered for her strength, competitive spirit and always ready for a good laugh. She leaves behind countless memories and will be remembered forever by many.
Weezie, we will miss you deeply – know you are forever loved.
In lieu of a service, Elaine would love you to play a round of golf in her honour.

Our many touraments, the Dune’s committee and just our everyday fun together with the four of us, John, Elaine and Rob and I.
