In Loving Memory
Dorothy Anne Cole

Dorothy Cole 1938-2025
Dorothy Anne Cole (nee Boulton) was born August 28, 1938 in Napanee, Ontario. She grew up there and married the love of her life Harry Cole. In 1960 they moved to B.C. with their 1 yr old daughter.
They lived in Jaffray for several years and had 3 more children
Dorothy was a wonderful cook. She worked in various lumber and mining camps as their cook. Harry was a carpenter so she helped him design, build, paint and beautify the homes they built together and renovated.
Dorothy was a trained pianist and the churches in town loved having her play for them. In 1978 their house burnt down and things changed.
Dorothy wanted more in life so they moved to Vernon BC and built a home on the shores of the Okanagan lake. Dorothy was a very kind, compassionate person, she wanted to do something to help others so she went to school to get her social workers degree. She landed a job with the provincial government. She worked for many years in group homes as a social worker and caregiver then later as a supervisor in Vernon and Armstrong.
Dot(as she liked to be called) worked right up till her late 60s Dot’s happy place was her garden. Many hours were spent lovingly tending her flowers and plants. She had the most beautiful garden.
Sadly she passed away peacefully on April 2 2025
Left to mourn her loss are her children Cherie (Al), David (Sherri), Christine and Michele (Eric)
Her grand children Bradly, Aimee, Jason, Brianna, Janelle and Andrew.
Her great grand children Kassandra, Kaden, Micah and Analiese.
Dot was predeceased by her husband Harry in 2012 and now are together in each other’s arms.
