It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Catherine Joan Kosmino on May 9, 2026, in Vernon, BC.
Catherine is survived by her daughter Andree, grandson Jesse, sister Carol, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes no formal service or public announcements will be held. We kindly ask that you honour her memory by respecting her desire for privacy and reflecting on your personal cherished moments with her. Please keep her family in your thoughts.

Please accept my condolences. Joan and I went to Kamloops High School. We were best friends. We graduated in 1955. Our graduation class picture is on display there. I have many fond memories of Joan.

I have some cute fond memories of Catherine. On one occasion I was taking her on some errands in her car and she wanted to go to A&W in Armstrong to get us a hamburger . We had to drive around the block a few times to see if got busier than it was. It made me laugh and I suggested if she had some doubts that we try Burger King in Vernon as I have had good burgers there and it was only a short distance. So away we went for a girl’s drive. Catherine was quite pleased with both the burger and the drive. We had a great day and I was sorry to see it end. Always a special big hug at the end of our visit. Loved all our conversations.
