Brian Clark Heyworth
Brian Heyworth, of Parker Cove, Vernon, B.C., a 50-year member of Canada’s Union Millwrights, died September 9, 2026, doing what he loved — riding his motorcycle with friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn, and by his son Keith. He is survived by his son Derek and Lori(Wife); his granddaughter Zoie; his sister Jane; many nieces and nephews; and by the close personal friends he made throughout his life.
Cremation has taken place. He will be laid to rest at Lakefield Cemetery and Crematorium in Ontario, beside Marilyn and Keith.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October 4, 2026 from 1:00PM-5:00PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 152 56 Baldwin St. Brooklin (North Whitby), Ontario.
A celebration of life for friends and family in B.C. was held Thursday, September 17, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Parker Cove.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian’s name to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Sending our deepest condolences to Derek, Lori and family. Brian was a wonderful man and a dear friend to our family. He had a generous heart and never hesitated to help in any way. Most recently, he shared his home with our daughter and family when they were in need. Brian was a huge influence in our son Jay’s life, as he joined the brothers in becoming a millwright. We often shared conversations about our kids and especially about how much he loved his family. RIP Brian ❤️

Uncle Brian, thank you for teaching me that no problem is ever too big, not to dwell on the past because there is always something new around the corner, and to always know your worth.
Thank you for all the adventures – for teaching me how to fish, taking me on my first boat ride, my first four-wheel-drive adventure, and for teaching me that Atari was evil, lol.
You were a steady presence in our lives as children, someone who stayed true to your convictions even when it made others uncomfortable. You taught me about politics and debated with me, even when you knew I didn’t know very much about the subject, because you wanted to educate me and help me understand.
You were a force.
I’m so sad that Derek, and the rest of us, don’t get to have more time with you. But I’m incredibly grateful for the time we did have, for everything you taught me, and for all the memories you gave us.
You will be deeply missed, Uncle Brian.
He was a special person, my brother-in-law Brian, but mostly just my extra brother. He always made time for me, always thinking of family, I will miss our conversations, I will forever remember…I remember them all till we all meet again

It’s only been a week. I’m still looking out the living room window waiting for Brian to be walking Buddy past the house. No way would Buddy go past here without stopping for a treat from Bruce. I will miss this forever. Judy Paulson and Bruce Perry

My deepest condolences to Derek and his wife Lori, to all of Brian’s family, and to his many friends in Parker Cove. It is so incredibly sad that only a week ago Brian passed away doing something he loved. I only had a short time to know Brian and Buddy, but they both became very dear to me, and I’m so saddened that we won’t have the chance to spend more time together. Brian will be remembered with great affection. May he rest in peace. ❤️

Derek, I have not see you since you were a young boy. I’m your fathers’ 1st cousin and live in the US. My husband and I were devastated when we got the call from your Aunt Jane. We “reconnected” with your dad several years ago and have some great times together. We’ve kept in better touch ever since. He spoke of you and the family often. He was a man of few words, at times, but loved you all very much. His passing is a loss to a great number of people, but I know we all have some wonderful memories to carry with us. Our deepest condolences to all those that lived and knew Brian. His every day walks touched all our lives and lightened his day and Buddy’s too. His motorcycle mates and tours gave his heart joy. He cared so deeply for each life he touched, and wore his heart on his sleeve. He was so proud of all you’d accomplished Derek, and wanted all good things for you both. I’m so very sad he is gone, and our dog, Kohl, will not understand where his best buddies have gone once we get home. Their morning chats and rubs made his day, and mine too. Rest easy Brian. I know you were ready- but man, we are going to miss you!!
