Brian Clark Heyworth
Brian Heyworth, of Parker Cove, Vernon, B.C., a 50-year member of Canada’s Union Millwrights, died September 9, 2026, doing what he loved — riding his motorcycle with friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn, and by his son Keith. He is survived by his son Derek and Lori(Wife); his granddaughter Zoie; his sister Jane; many nieces and nephews; and by the close personal friends he made throughout his life.
A celebration of life for friends and family in B.C. will be held Thursday, September 17, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Parker Cove. Arrangements in Ontario will be announced.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian’s name to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Sending our deepest condolences to Derek, Lori and family. Brian was a wonderful man and a dear friend to our family. He had a generous heart and never hesitated to help in any way. Most recently, he shared his home with our daughter and family when they were in need. Brian was a huge influence in our son Jay’s life, as he joined the brothers in becoming a millwright. We often shared conversations about our kids and especially about how much he loved his family. RIP Brian ❤️

Uncle Brian, thank you for teaching me that no problem is ever too big, not to dwell on the past because there is always something new around the corner, and to always know your worth.
Thank you for all the adventures – for teaching me how to fish, taking me on my first boat ride, my first four-wheel-drive adventure, and for teaching me that Atari was evil, lol.
You were a steady presence in our lives as children, someone who stayed true to your convictions even when it made others uncomfortable. You taught me about politics and debated with me, even when you knew I didn’t know very much about the subject, because you wanted to educate me and help me understand.
You were a force.
I’m so sad that Derek, and the rest of us, don’t get to have more time with you. But I’m incredibly grateful for the time we did have, for everything you taught me, and for all the memories you gave us.
You will be deeply missed, Uncle Brian.
He was a special person, my brother-in-law Brian, but mostly just my extra brother. He always made time for me, always thinking of family, I will miss our conversations, I will forever remember…I remember them all till we all meet again
