Paul Anthony Burke
October 14, 1946-2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Anthony Burke, who passed away September 15, 2026, at the age of 79.
Born on October 14, 1946, in Lindsay Ontario, Paul spent much of his life sharing his voice, his stories, and his love of radio with the community. A retired radio host, his voice became a familiar part of everyday life for many. You may not have known him personally, but chances are you knew his voice, whether it be announcing when the Vernon Viper’s scored a goal, one of City Furniture’s radio ads, or simply listening to him on air.
Outside of Paul’s love and talents in radio. Paul was an active member for Trinity United Church and could be seen behind the soundboard. Paul also practiced Jiu-Jitsu and took pride in sharing what he learned with others teaching self-defence lessons.
Paul loved movies and would happily spend hours watching his ever increasing collection of DVD’s, reading a Stephen King novel, and watching the Canucks game with a bowl of cashews.
He will be deeply missed by his sister, Nora, his former wife, and good friend Kristy and his three daughters Amanda, Emily, and Julia, as well as those whose lives he touched through his work, his love for community and his unmistakable voice.
Paul’s family invites friends, colleagues, and loved ones to join them in remembering and celebrating his life.
A service will be held at Trinity United Church on Saturday October 24, 2026, at 12:00pm.

My wife and Paul shared the same room while he was in VJH. Paul and I had many conversations and I enjoyed his company. My condolences to all his family and loved ones.
