William Bergman

Together Again

On Sunday, March 23, 2025, William (Bill) Bergman passed away at the age of 95. Bill was
born on Jan 8, 1930 in Waldheim, Saskatchewan to Samuel and Emma (Behnke) Bergman. Bill
spent his childhood and school-aged years in the Waldheim area, working on the family farm. Inthe 1960s, Bill moved to British Columbia and worked for 30 years as a lineman on hydro-electric projects throughout the province, living in Prince George, Salmon Arm and Armstrong.Bill met and married his loving wife of 37 years, June, while both were living in Salmon Arm.

June (Hodgins) Bergman passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the age of 88. June was
born on February 10, 1930 in Hartney, Manitoba to Edgar Hodgins and Dorothy (Hughes)
Hodgins. June lived in the Lake Cowichan area on Vancouver Island from the late 1940s before
relocating with her young family to the Salmon Arm area in the early 1960s.

June and Bill met and married in the early 1980s and began operating a farm on Larkin Cross
Rd in Armstrong. They both retired from farm life in 1999, remaining in Armstrong. June and
Bill enjoyed a quiet life together on the farm with their beloved dogs Napper and Libby. What
gave them the most joy was spending time with their kids and grandkids.

Bill is survived by his loving daughter, Shannon (Ray), and stepsons Garry (Jackie) and Daryl
(Donna), six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family extends their sincere
gratitude to the staff at Polson Care Home, Interior Health Home Care and all other friends and
neighbours who showed their kindness to Bill & June over the years.

Family will hold a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
