It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the death of Wesley Albert Prentice, beloved husband of Ella, father to eight wonderful children, grandfather to 24, great grandfather to 32, and great, great grandfather of 4 beautiful children who he cherished.

Born in Red Deer, Alberta on February 28,1940, Wes was an avid outdoorsman, who loved his hunting, quading, and time spent in the Arizona winters in his later years.

Survived by loving wife Ella, Wes passed away at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital at 11:15 AM on the Friday the 9th February 2024 while surrounded by the loving comfort of family members.

Wesley was predeceased by his father Wesley Prentice Sr, sister Joan McNab, a Daughter, Patricia, Daughter in law Carrie, and Grandsons Todd and Charles.

Funeral service for Wesley will take place at the Cypress Funeral Home in Vernon, British Columbia, Saturday 02 March 2024 at 1 pm, with a two hour viewing held prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, we hope you kindly donate to Wes and Ella’s favorite charity, The War Amps Champs Program.

One of Dans favorite memories is being loaded up in Joan’s car with Jim, Jerry ,Sylvia ,Lynda and Floyd .Joan was teaching Wes to drive .They were going to the first speaking picture show he had ever seen.     Dear Ella and family. Yes, Wes is not here with us anymore. However, he lives forever in our memory. Wes was a great companion to my husband John. Somehow they clicked and appreciated each other. Wes was helping John, and vice versa. We miss him…
