In Loving Memory
Wayne Douglas Webb

With heavy hearts we sadly announce the passing of Wayne Webb, beloved husband of Paulette, father of Bobbi Knopf (Dean) and Shawn (Cindy), Papa to Ian, Jaci, Sydney, Jordon and Rebecca. He leaves sisters, Dorothy and Ruby and brother Dale.
Wayne was born to Frank and Pearl Webb in Port Arthur, Ontario on April 8, 1944. He lived in far too many places to mention them all, eventually choosing to call Armstrong his forever home in 1972.
Wayne met his bride to be in 1963 at the bowling alley in Salmon Arm, asking for her hand in 1967, after a stint in the RCAF.
He wore many hats; a building contractor by trade, a millworker by necessity, and a realtor alongside his wife.
Wayne and Paulette added two children, Bobbi in 1970 and Shawn in 1972, unexpectedly adopting their many childhood friends!
He served his community as both a Kinsmen, earning a Lifetime Membership and as a minor hockey coach, forging lifelong relationships. His love of the Kinsmen brotherhood bought him a much appreciated extended family, which he was all too proud to share with his wife Paulette.
His passion and refuge was his yard, an ever evolving masterpiece off limits to squatting dogs and wayward soccer balls. Recognized for his attention to detail, he accumulated many “community in bloom” awards.
We celebrate his unwillingness to back down from a fight as he battled and saw victory over both tobacco and alcohol addiction.
Let his life remind us of Matthew 20:1-16; the parable of the workers in the vineyard. A man who denied the Truth of God most of his life, recognizing and claiming Jesus as his Lord and Saviour just prior to his passing. As we continue to breathe, it’s never too late. It is with great confidence and joy, we know he is now receiving his Great Reward in heaven.
A memorial service for Wayne will take place on Saturday, April 26th at 1:30 pm at the First Baptist Church, 3185 Becker St Armstrong, BC. Reception to follow.

Dear Paulette:: I was so sad to hear of Wayne’s passing. Upon reading his obituary, I smiled when I read your wedding date. It made me remember driving him to the church that day. We nearly didn’t make the corner by John Mcleod’s house. They took that corner on two wheels and almost landed in the ditch. I was in the car behind them and was terrified! Too much imbibing & speed then! Omg! Wonderful that you had so many years together. Your life has changed, and I wish you peace for the years to come, with family & friends to support you. Carol
My very deepest condolences to You All.

Starting with working with him at the sawmill, then our many years in Kinsman together,. And not to mention the many times we met in Clinton to celebrate the Clinton Ball. my thoughts are with you on this very sad day.
