Tina Whiting

It is with great sorrow that the family announces Tina Margaret Whiting’s passing at the age of 83 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease in the North Okanagan Hospice Society.

Tina was predeceased by her husband Murray of 50 yrs in 2014. Also predeceasing her are brothers Harry, Frank, George, Pete and Sister Susan.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Patti, son Rod (Sheri) Whiting, Brother John (Claudia) Zacharias, sisters in law Gwen and Mary Zacharias.  She is also survived by her grand children Shawn (Shawna) Whiting  and Brianne (Jeremy) Hoggan, great grand children Jaden, Hailey, Hunter, Riley and Dylan along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Tina was a 54 yr member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.  Murray and Tina ran the cafeteria at Okanagan College for 16 yrs making many new friends and touching lives of many before retiring in 2006.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 8, 2023 at the Eagles Hall 5101 25^th Ave Vernon.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to North Okanagan Hospice Society or Parkinson Society British Columbia.

The  family cannot thank Hospice House enough for the quality of care given Tina in her last couple of weeks and also to the staff of 2East/West at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Parkinson Society British Columbia
