In Loving Memory
Theodore Patrick O’Hara

Ted was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and grew up on a rural farm, but lived for most of his adult life in the Kamloops area, working many years for Lornex Mine in Logan Lake. Ted will be remembered for his Irish charm and love of a good joke. Ted lived with kidney disease and the pain of loss for many years, but, mostly thanks to his caring wife, Georgia, he lived until his 90th year. Ted is also survived by one son, Terry, two grandsons, Aaron and Tyler, and one granddaughter, Kristen Tatiana. He will be happy to be reunited with his other three children, Tim, Sharon and Tom, now that he has passed on.
Funeral prayers will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 5 pm at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Kamloops. Funeral mass will be held the following morning, Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 11 am at Sacred Heart as well.
His family would like to thank Interior Health and the Renal Clinic at RIH nurses and staff, particularly Amanda, for assisting with Ted’s care.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Kidney Foundation.

Ted you were the cheerful one in the shop always joking and laughing. Your teasing laugh could be heard around the shop floor. A good friend over the years on email and a joke always followed.
You will be remember and missed for your sense of humor.

I would like to send my condolences to Terry, Georgia and the family. Many memories of Ted when my late husband Roy and I were parenting our teenage sons Kenneth and Kent and Ted with his son Terry.
Ted was charming and friendly and remembered fondly.
Peace and Blessings

Uncle Ted was the conduit for me to the O’Hara clan, and we kept in touch since I first found my Canadian birthmom’s family almost 40 years ago. After I went up to meet the Clan in Calgary, and my dear sister Shawn, Ted took my husband and me and two tow-headed blonde boys (Dana and Jesse) across Canada on the railroad to visit Banff – with the infamous Aunt Muriel, dressed in a shocking pink pant suit! My birth mother, Ted’s older sister Margaret, would have laughed! Ted’s emails and letters are all kept in a scrapbook, I took a peek at it the other day – he sent stories, photos, and vignettes of the colorful members of the O’Hara family. His wit and sometimes convoluted rambles will be remembered by all of us here in the states. He is keeping the folks upstairs laughing as we speak.
My heartfelt condolences to all the family and friends of Ted. There is an audible absence as he moves on and leaves his earthly body. His many emails over the years had me laughing and frequently left wondering what the heck!! His kind smile and humour will keep his memory alive.
Love from Shawn, Vic, Kathleen & Michelle
