Romeo Simon Edwards

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Romeo Simon Edwards, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. Romeo is survived by his wife of 63 years Sue Edwards , daughter Loretta Eustache ( son in law Rod Eustache). Grandchildren Charity Celesta, Chanelle Celesta , Fenton Eustache, Brook Eustache , Hunter Eustache, Great grandchildren Cadence Edward’s, Mason Estabrooks and Aubrey Twum. Romeo and Sue opened their home to many and Romeo held special spots for his Daughters Beatrice Willard (2 granddaughters and 1 grandson) and Rosanna Stamberg (Randy Williams), (2 granddaughters and 6 grandsons) and both daughters also added numerous great grandchildren to the family.

Romeo was predeceased by his sister Beatrice Edwards, Sister May Holt, parents William Edwards and May Edwards (nee Hopwood), and his beloved son Vincent Rocky Edwards.

Romeo was a avid outdoorsman and loved to camp, hunt and fish. As a young man he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army and served and was trained as a paratrooper. He was very proud of his time served and shared many stories with his family around his training and travels around the world during this time. He was a musically talented man who spent alot of time after retirement playing guitar and preforming with friends at local events. He spent much of his last few years building intricately detailed large scale model airplanes, often drawing the designs from memory to scale and then building the flying model plans, which he often gifted his grandchildren and close family members.

Romeo passed away peacefully at his home on March 6, 2026 at the age of 95.

There will be a private cremation and no services will be held for Romeo as per his final wishes.
