Rolf Werner Hermann Hoefer

It is with heartfelt sadness we must announce the passing of Rolf Werner Hoefer on July 31, 2023 in Vernon, BC. He was born on October 3, 1939 in Germany. He was a loving, caring and extremely friendly man, always willing to lend his hand! Whether it be with his skilled hand in construction, agriculture, his all-around expertise or just his love and caring personality. All of the family knew him best as Poppa. Poppa was a genuine soul who loved and cared for his parents. He loved his wife and business partner Betty with all his heart. Poppa loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with no boundaries. Nothing brought a bigger smile to his face than to ask you what you were up to and how things were going for you, he was able to absorb all your answers to his question with an honest and genuine interest.

Poppa was predeceased by his father Werner Herman Hoefer, mother Gertrude Anna Hoefer and his wife Mildred “Betty” Elizabeth Hoefer (nee Bowcock).  He is survived by his son Michael (Tammy) Hoefer and their children Ava and Myah; daughter Anne (John) Carrelli and their children: Bryce, Jennifer (Rob) and Megan (Dylan) as well as Bryce’s children Mckenna Atsma and Dawson Carrelli; son Peter Hoefer and his children Cole (Maartje) and Amelia.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Cypress Funeral & Cremation Services (2980 Smith Drive, Armstrong).
