In Loving Memory

Rene Roland Leblanc

Rene Roland Leblanc, age 87, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024. Born on September 21, 1937, in McLennan, Alberta, Rene moved with his family to Kamloops, British Columbia, at the age of seven. He spent his early years in Kamloops, later pursuing a successful career as a welder, working on several major projects that left a lasting mark in the industry.

In 2002, Rene moved to 108 Mile Ranch, where he embraced retirement and the simple pleasures of life. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed spending time in nature and found joy in sharing his passion with family and friends. Rene was also known for his love of darts and took pride in helping organize a dart league at the Forest Grove Legion, where he spent countless evenings with friends.

Rene is survived by his wife Ruth Leblanc, his son Ken, stepsons Parker and Paul, stepdaughters Kelly and Patti, as well as several grandchildren who will cherish his memory. His son Keven passed away a few years earlier. Rene also had five brothers, two sisters, and a large extended family.

A celebration of Rene’s life will be held at the 100 Mile House Legion on June 22nd, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather to remember and honor Rene, sharing stories of his kindness, humor, and dedication to the people he loved.

Rene will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on
in the hearts of all who knew him.
