In Loving Memory
Peter Ernst Hirschmiller
Peter passed peacefully in the late hours of March 21st after a three-year battle with Cancer.
Predeceased by his parents Ernst and Margaret Hirschmiller, his brother Wilfred Hirschmiller and his beloved dog Zak. Survived by his two son’s Ryan Hirschmiller (Melissa Jack) and Jordan Hirschmiller (Katie Hirschmiller), his granddaughter Isla Hirschmiller, the boys mother Renee Shier (Linda Williams), his sisters Karen and Susanne Hirschmiller. Peter enjoyed a full life. Born in Macklin Saskatchewan the Hirschmiller’s relocated to Armstrong, BC where Peter enjoyed his youth. Upon graduation he attended UBC in Vancouver and obtained his Bachelor of Science in pharmacy. Shortly thereafter Peter met Renee and they moved to Kamloops were Ryan and Jordan were born.
Peter always worked hard to provide for his family and quickly became an associate owner for a Shoppers Drug Mart in Kamloops. Peter and Renee raised the boys in Kamloops before moving to the Okanagan where Peter enjoyed his retirement at his beautiful house on the lake. Peter began wintering in Palm Desert where he enjoyed bird watching, playing cards and spending time with his family. Peter was an avid card player, a wise investor, a loving supportive father, a great friend and mentor to many that had the privilege of knowing him. Peter will be missed by all who’s life he touched. A celebration of life will be held at his lake house in late May. If desired in lieu of flowers and gifts donations can be made to the North Okanagan Hospice Society or the BC.

So sad to learn of Peters passing
I have many fond memories of Peter, whether it was hanging out and playing as kids or having races in the pool.
Always a good time withPeter
I have known Peter for for 42 years. We were married and share two beautiful sons, Ryan and Jordan. Peter was always a very loving father, spouse and friend. He will be so very missed and his memory will be kept alive through our boys and grandchildren. We got this now, Peter!! Rest in eternal peace. We love you now and forever.
Love Renee
Dear Ryan and Jordan:
I am so very sorry for your immeasurable loss. Your dad was and is, so very proud of you both. You cared for him in the most loving way and faced the long goodbye of cancer together. I am so proud of you. The world has lost a very special man. I am so glad the two of you remain as his legacy.
Love Linda
My sincere condolences to Peter’s family at this difficult time.
Growing up in Armstrong Peter and his family were a major part of our social fabric.
While I lost touch with Peter I have very fond memories of him. Always a gentle and kind person.
Hopefully the pain of your loss eases as time passes.
Sincerely
David Fletcher
