Paul Alan Monaghan

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Paul Alan Monaghan on October 17, 2023 in Vernon, BC.

Paul will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife, Diane. He will also be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Paul was pre-deceased by his parents, William and Florence; his two sisters, Hazel and Ecsy; and brother, Bill.

Paul was born on April 4, 1941 in Ottawa, Ontario. He was a constable for the RCMP from 1959 to 1967. After leaving the RCMP, he opened a tire store in Smithers, BC; then opened a store in Kitimat later becoming Kal Tire associate in the 1980’s.

Paul was a gentle soul who liked telling stories. When he could, he would be riding his motorcycle. Paul had a passion for helping children. He was a Shriner’s clown, a member of the Mason’s and could always be found on a toy run.

There will be no service as per Paul’s wishes.
