Patricia Arlene Wanke (née Entzminger)

Pat Wanke passed, peacefully, from this life on the morning of June 27, 2025. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life. Pat was born on January 17, 1940 in Medicine Hat, Alberta; however, she has spent most of her life in British Columbia.

She married the love of her life, Gus, on May 20, 1964. Together they built a life for themselves and their children, never quite settling in one place until they reached Enderby. Pat had a special bond with animals throughout her life, in particular her puppies Snowbell and Maggie that survived her.

Preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Nettie, and her devoted husband, Gus, of 51 years. Pat is remembered by many family members including her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A celebration of the life of Pat Wanke will be held at a later date to honour Pat’s memory. Details will be shared soon.

Your journey here is done

The time has come for you to rest beyond life’s setting sun

We know your trails were many

But you faced them one by one

Not always to perfection

But completed, now are done.
