In Loving Memory
Norma Fraser
With deep sadness we are reporting the passing of our mother Norma Fraser. She passed away quietly in her sleep at the Marjorie Willougby Hospice here in Kamloops, BC, on March 10th, 2024.
Norma was born into a family of five sisters and three brothers on their family’s homestead just outside the small town of Hazlet, Saskatchewan, in November of 1923. As this is what we now call the dirty 30’s in Canada’s history.
From that start in life, she was able to become a teacher and move to the Similkameen Valley in BC where she met our father.
As a family we moved around BC to such places as Williams Lake, Port Hardy, Prince George and finally to Kamloops. Norma was both a mother and teacher in different places where we lived as a family.
Norma was predeceased by her husband Joe and her daughter Nadene. Norma will be sadly missed by her two sons Darcy (Mai) and Joe (Katherine) along with her two granddaughters (Krittika and Jitsinee) and countless other relatives that she welcomed as part of our family.
A Memorial Service for Norma will be held on March 19th, 2024, at 11:00am at the Kamloops Alliance Church.

I had the privilege of working with Norma at two Kamloops school. She was a top notch teacher
and outstanding staff member. We worked together for many years. She had a terrific spirit and chemistry both in the classroom and with colleagues Wonderful memories. Wonderful woman.
A pleasure to work with. A twinkle in her eye. Norma knew , and took charge of her mission in life.
Condolences to all Norma’s family.

I worked with Norma for many years. She was a n outstanding staff member and primary teacher.
I have very fond memories of your mum. We met along the way a couple years ago.
Sadly we missed the service being away from Kamloops with family and not knowing about
the loss of Norma. Norma indeed had a full life of adventure.
Sincerely,
brian
