Nick was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan and grew up in Vernon, BC. In 1967 he married his wife of 57 years, Carol De Boer and together they raised their son Shaun. Nick was an avid fisherman, and in his retirement, he was very proud of the fact that his wife was the only one who could out fish him. Nick enjoyed volunteering at the Vernon Halina Senior Center and was an enthusiastic member of the Vernon Pattern Dancers, where he and Carol made many friends. He was also an affiliate member of the Royal Canadian Legion #35 Armstrong, BC. He cherished meeting, visiting, and talking with people from all walks of life and will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to thank all for their support and love at this sad time. A Celebration of Nick’s life will be held at 11am on Saturday May 18 at the Cypress Funeral Home in Armstrong, BC (2980 Smith Drive).
