Mona Meier

The family of Mona Meier is sad to announce her passing at the age of 86 years of age in Kelowna on Sept 26 2024. Mona was a Mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a wife, a step mom and also a friend to many in the community. 

 Mona moved to BC from Alberta and has enjoyed her retirement years in this area. She was known to enjoy chatting with friends and neighbours in her front garden. She made friends easily and was loved by them all, old and new. 

Mona is survived by her daughter Shirley (Brian), sons Oscar (Gloria), Wayne (Val), Brian (Tamara), Ross (Carole) and Terry (Kathi).

Mona was predeceased by her husband Carl Meier in 2021, and her son John “Miles” Peterson in 1988.

 The family would like to express our sincere gratitude for all of those who helped her since Carl passed away. Everything from doctors visits, home repairs, housekeeping, walking her dog Lady, getting the mail or just simple companionship. It was a relief knowing our mother had your support. 

 Mona and Carl enjoyed going to the seniors centre in Winfield on Tuesdays to have lunch and be with their friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to that organization.  Contact WWW.LCSCS.CA
