In Loving Memory

Michael John Unsworth

Michael John Unsworth passed away peacefully at home on January 13, 2026 in Coldstream, BC.

Mike was born on May 31st, 1956 in Hawkesbury, Ontario but spent a majority of his adult life in BC, with his work dictating where he called home. He made many friends throughout Cranbrook, Creston and then finally in Vernon.

He spent most of his career operating equipment and driving truck. He was always very proud to say he was a professional truck driver. He also spent part of his career as an automotive painter and suffered health issues as a result of that career.

Mike was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Therese, and just in the past year, 2 brothers Steven and Kirk, and sister Lynda.  He is survived by step-mother Elizabeth, partner Anita, brother Lloyd (Anna), brother Leigh (Sam), son Brandon (Chelsey), daughter Michelle, step children Evan (Stef), Cory (Crystal), Mordachai, and Haley as well as numerous grandchildren.

He will be missed by many longtime friends that he considered family such as: Steve, Reg, Rocky, Dave, Clint, and too many more to name.

Mike spent many hours fishing, boating, hunting, camping, snowmobiling, and any other activity that involved the outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his son Brandon. Mike had a huge heart and was never afraid to tell you that he loved you!

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and close friends.
