In Loving Memory

Maureen “Moe” Danshin

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Moe Danshin, who left this world peacefully on July 19, 2025, at the age of 72.

Moe was born in Ocean Falls, BC, and lived a life filled with warmth, generosity, and devotion to her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wayne Corbin, and carried his memory with her always.

She leaves behind her two sons, Kyle Corbin (with his future wife, Faren Brogan) and Tyler Corbin (with his wife, Amanda Corbin). Moe was a proud and loving grandmother to her five grandchildren: Kaycee, Tyson, and Camryn (children of Kyle and Faren), and Emma and Chloe (daughters of Tyler and Amanda). Her family was her greatest joy, and her love for them shone through in everything she did.

A service to celebrate Moe’s life will be held at the Kamloops Alliance Church, 200 Leigh Rd, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Friends and family are invited to gather in her honor, share memories, and celebrate the remarkable woman she was.

I was blessed to have had Moe in my life for so long thanks to Teri and Paul. She was a dynamo of a person and well loved by so many of us in Kamloops. I have every confidence that she is resting in peace.

My thoughts are with Kathy, Kyle, Tyler – their spouses and her grandchildren.

  2. Patricia says:

Our deepest condolences and prayers to Moe’s family and friends. I fondly recall her working at the medical clinic and she was always a reassuring face, with her beautiful smile and warm personality.
The last time I saw Moe was a number of months ago, while out shopping. I held her hand and told her how much her kindness and warmth meant to my family and I. I am so glad I got to see her one last time and to tell her how much of a difference she made.
She will be sorely missed by so many.
I hope the family memories guide her loved ones through their grief.

I am truly sorry for the loss of your beloved Mom. She was always smiling & laughing, which was contagious & we all joined in. She touched a lot of lives in very many ways & will be sorely missed by us all. You are all in my heart & I send my love to each of you. Cherish your wonderful memories.

  4. Leah Adams says:

Aunt Moe, your laugh could brighten any room, and your love was felt by everyone lucky enough to know you. I have peace knowing you’re with Uncle Wayne now, together again, laughing and smiling as you always did. You’ll forever be in our hearts.

Moe – Just saying that name brings a smile to my face and some tears. I could tall you so many stories that happened with Moe in Ocean Falls (but that was before her boys were born). Also, Moe wouldn’t want you to hear a couple of the them but you would laugh!! Just so Moe. Always a smile on her face, even if she was pissed off at you. Shrug it off and keep going.

Amazing friend. And one day, our paths will cross again.

Thanks for being my friend Moe, but please don’t tell me again, “God” will fix it. God can’t fix everything Moe, we have had that discussion, more than once!! Love you and miss you immensely.

What a wonderful pleasure of knowing this loveing, kind, caring lady! I had the opportunity to grow up as the child that would always be over at her (and Wayne’s) home as a child to see Kyle and Tyler. I have many fond memories of Moe. Always cheerful and never missing a beat! Her laugh never changed from the first day I met her until the last time I got to see her this year.

I have the wonderful lasting memory of her praying with me when I was about to leave her house and her telling me “God has a plan for all of us, believe in that”. She couldn’t have been more right!

She will be miss, but where she ended up, I am sure she is making others happy like she did with so many people down here. You will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with Kyle, Tyler and the rest of the family.

    Ray

Moe, and Wayne were two of my favourite people in my life! Wayne was my Cadet CO in Ocean Falls, and Moe was his best friend! We carried on a friendship through the years, the the births and aging of their kids! We got to visit with them enroute to cadet reunions and when they came to Victoria. After Wayne passed Moe and I continued our friendship and faith together! Moe has definitely been promoted to Heaven, hanging and celebrating with Wayne, parents, my spouse, and many others. Both Moe and Wayne have been a gift in my life! Thank you for your presence and may your heavenly journey be glorious! Jesus Speaks is a song/prayer always in her heart, and mine too! Thanks for hanging on the seashore of Victoria with me and Being You! Love ya Both forever and always! See ya in My future when my time here is finished! Xox

  8. Samantha Gagnon (Rochon) says:

Moe was a beautiful, kind hearted soul inside and out and she will be greatly missed. She had the most infectious laugh and that smile of hers lit up the room. She had an endless supply of love for her family and friends that it had even extended further than that.
I met Moe when I was a young teenager, my brother was best friends with Tyler and I would get invited to tag along with him sometimes. She always made me feel welcomed and valued.

My thoughts and prayers are with Tyler, Kyle and family. You had one awesome mom!

  9. Judy Hodgson says:

Sincere condolences to the entire family.

Moe was married to my cousin Wayne but treated me like a special friend. Her kindness and humour always present.

From times at the restaurant (Binos), their big backyard and pool and then in their condo on 12th, we had many get togethers for our family and friends..always with loads of food and lots of laughter.

Although none of us Hodgsons will be able to attend on the 20th, we will all be thinking of her that day, and the days after .. we will never forget this kind, giant hearted fun lady. ❤️🙏✨

  10. Lynn MacGregor says:

Sending huge hugs and condolences to Tyler and Kyle and her dear grandkids ❤️
