Mary Louise Hildebrand-Bredy
February 23, 1955 - September 28, 2023
In Loving Memory
Mary Louise Hildebrand-Bredy
With saddened hearts we said goodbye to Mary. Mary was born in North Vancouver on February 23, 1955. She attended elementary and high school in North Vancouver. Mary moved to Gibsons later in the 1970s.
Mary’s love for children lead her to run a home based day care. She also partnered at the local legion in Gibsons. Mary’s passion was playing bingo and she loved tending to her vegetable and flower gardens.
When Mary’s husband retired, they moved to Armstrong. Mary continued to be active in Armstrong, working alongside her sister Bonita. Bonita is the owner and operator of a housekeeping service.
Mary suffered a major stroke on May 28, 2023. After the stroke, she was diagnosed with an aggressive lung cancer. After a short, brave battle, Mary passed away on September 28, 2023 at the Vernon Hospice. Mary’s family would like to thank the staff at the Vernon Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Mary.
Mary leaves behind her husband Rick, sons Michael and John (Karen), daughter Leanne, three grandchildren, sisters Susan (Dick Penner) and Bonita (Ed Schraeder) and sister-in-law Lori Graeme. She was predeceased by her sisters Margee and Marlene as well as her brother Jack.
By request of Mary, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Mary to Vernon Hospice would be appreciated.
