In Loving Memory

Mark Roger Gilbert

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Mark Roger Gilbert March 26, 2024 in Lake Country, BC. Mark was born February 3, 1961 in Williams Lake, BC.

Mark is predeceased by his twin brother Michael and sister Wendy. He is survived by his
Sons Rylan (Holley) and Garrett (Taylor), Grandson Scylus, Brothers Brian (Jean) and David, and all the other kids that called him ‘Dad’.

Mark was a Proud Father, willing to drop everything to help those in need. He was a Lifetime Railroader, Motorbike Enthusiast, Fisherman, Hockey player and skier. Dad had an infectious laugh, was a lover of Eagles and loved to sing. He was the Best driver, coach, and our biggest fan.

He struggled with Mental Health for many years, we hope that he is now at peace with his siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future and details will be announced. As an expression of Sympathy, donations can be made to his son Garrett via Etransfer to [email protected]

When we lost Mike years ago you were my rock and kept Mike alive for me every time I got to see you. I know how you hurt with the loss of Mike but you carried on. I know you struggled but I also know you are back with Mike and I hope you are finally at peace now too. Im so sad we never got to fulfill one of my bucket list wishes which was to ride on a Harley. You were going to take me for a ride this summer but that’s ok my friend. You will be missed everyday. šŸ’”šŸ’” So Mark as your last text to me said…love ya but kiss my ass!

Mark and I spent many years working together parting together and living together on many CP rail work crews. One of the most enjoyable times was playing hockey in the CP hockey tournament in Coquitlam we spent the weekend partying and even played some hockey lol. For anyone who got to know Mark knows that infectious laugh and Great wit can never be forgotten. Take care, brother, safe journey, and will see you again.
