In Loving Memory

Margaret Judith “Judi” Nelson (Nikkel)

It is with profound sadness that we said goodbye to our loving matriarch, Judi Nelson after her 20 year courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease, she passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Judi loved unconditionally and family was always her first priority. She was an exceptional human who welcomed everyone into the family with open arms and a love that just radiated. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Robin Nelson, their children; Cindy(Shaun), Corinne (Dale), Darren (Elena), Cheryl (Al). Their 8 grandchildren; Arlena( Kole), Zahyna (Jordan), Quinn (Shannon), Jonas (Ashton), Sierra (Coltyn), Journey, Max, Charlie. 3 Step Grandchildren; Page, Chelsea, & Tyler, & Great Grandson Harlan, & many extended family members & friends.

Married to Rob for 58 years, they were each other’s person. They cared for each other in the most beautiful of ways and shared a lifetime of memories. They raised their family on their hobby farm in Clearwater, BC and retired in Armstrong for the latter part of their lives. Not only did she work hard as a homesteader, a Registered Nurse at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital and dedicated volunteer for the BC Cancer Society, Hospital Auxiliary and avid participant and fund raiser for the BC Parkinson’s Society. Judi was an avid cook, baker, seamstress, gardener, maker and traveler. She  traveled and went on many adventures with Robin, her sisters (Pat and Esther)  and family: hot air balloon rides, salmon fishing, helicopter tours; locally and to many exotic locales, her favourite being the Cooke Islands.

Judi, Mom, Gram, Great Gram will be forever missed and remembered in all the most important ways with traditions, shared recipes that bring back the best of memories. She will always be our guiding star, there we will see you.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
