Lorraine Seaman

The family of Lorraine Seaman of Kamloops, BC sadly announce her passing on April 16, 2025 at 90 years of age.
Lorraine leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Lynn Killick (Pete) of Summerland BC, and Cheryl Dickenson of Kamloops, BC.
Lorraine was born in 1934 in Cupar, Saskatchewan and was raised on a farm where she learned the hard work of early mornings milking cows and many other farm chores.
After high school graduation Lorraine attended the 3 -year nursing program at Providence hospital in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. She won awards in bedside nursing. After nursing graduation, she worked in the TB Sanitorium in Wayburn Saskatchewan. She also worked in different hospitals and medical clinics over the years.
In 1956 Lorraine married Ross Seaman. They made their home in Regina, Saskatchewan and soon after welcomed 2 daughters.
Lorraine was an exceptional hostess and was always prepared to entertain expected or unexpected visitors. Lorraine was a excellent pianist who hosted parties with musical relatives and friends. There was often music, dancing, and parties in their home. Lorraine was the pianist for Wesley United church in Regina.
Later on, Lorraine’s family moved to British Columbia where she continued to entertain, and she worked in a doctor’s office.
After Ross and Lorraine were empty nesters, they spent winters in Arizona. They met many friends and played cards, danced, and joined jam sessions.
Lorraine will be lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren: Shannon (Ryan), Kevin, Mark, Kristen (Darren), Brian (Lauren), Allison, Matt (Caitlen) and
fifteen great grandchildren: Nickolas, Daniel, Chloe, Tanner, Kaydance, Preston, Carter, Riley, Sutton, Peyton, Koa, Hunter, Blake, Camryn, Alivia.
Lorraine is survived by her sister, Marlene (Jerry), several nieces, nephews and friends. Lorraine was predeceased by her loving husband Ross and her parents Mark and Louise Grant.
Lorraine was very generous, helpful, supportive and served on many committees over the years. She was truly loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Lorraine spent her final 3 years at Ponderosa Lodge and Lynn and Cheryl are truly grateful for those who took such kind and loving care of their mother.
