In Loving Memory
Kezia Denine Arrance

Born in Kelowna, BC, June 8, 1970, sadly passed away April 1, 2026. Kezia is the youngest daughter to Elmer and Sandra Arrance and is survived by the love of her life, Grant George, dad, Elmer, sister Tania Gustafson (Brian), son Colby Turner, granddaughter Kingsley Turner, nephew Branden Green (Nevada, great nephew and niece Beau and Ellie), and nieces Ashleigh Green (Jason) and Brittany Gustafson, predeceased by mom Sandra Arrance and mother in law, Doreen George.
Kezia and Grant were together eight and a half wonderful years and she was the absolute love of his life. With Grant’s career as a truck driver, they shared a life on the road, travelling across Canada for three years. Kezia really loved those trips as she helped map their routes, organizing the best order for drop offs and pick ups, something she was very good at.
When she wasn’t on the road, Kezia spent her time in Merritt keeping up their beautiful log cabin, caring for her aging mother in law, and feeding the hummingbirds she loved so much. She often kept a batch of syrup ready as they would stare at her through the window when they needed a refill. Kezia had a huge heart and loved to help people whenever she could. Having always been a dog lover, occasionally helping out when her friend Susan had a large dog to groom was right up her alley.
Kezia made frequent trips to Kelowna, staying at her sister’s place. Her face would light up when their dog would come running to meet her, as she always brought a new toy to hide for her. During each Kelowna trip, Kezia spent a lot of time over at Ogi’s Greenhouses, where she helped out wherever was needed and enjoyed working and spending time with Marina, her best friend from childhood. No trip would be complete without a trip (or 2) with Marina to Costco, and a Starbucks matcha date with her sister.
Kezia was born and raised in Kelowna and grew up on a farm where riding horses, bottle feeding calves, and raising poodle puppies were a big part of life. As a child, Kezia could often be found inside the dog house with the dog, or putting dresses on puppies with her sister. Summers were spent riding bikes, playing with the neighbours, running through the sprinkler, and later as a teenager, enjoying the pool her dad put in.
Summers were also for working and every year her mom would take Kezia and her sister cherry picking at the farm her grandpa ran. Once the required number of boxes was picked for the day, Kezia and her sister were free to go and ride the tractor with grandpa, ride the old bikes grandpa kept for them and their cousins, or take a spin on the little motor bike grandpa used to change the sprinklers. And on weekends, Kezia and her sister enjoyed many Saturday night sleepovers at grandma and grandpa’s old house in the orchard, waking early to help grandma bake pies for when the family came for Sunday supper.
Kezia was very active in sports and in addition to horseback riding, she did gymnastics, figure skating, bowling and softball, where she really excelled. Her team often qualified for Provincials and did well.
Kezia was a hard worker and was a tremendous help to her parents as they ran a contracting business, building homes locally. With that background of good work ethic and fierce independence mixed with a little bit of rebellion, Kezia left home at 17 when she moved to Edmonton to work at the West Edmonton Mall Hotel. She moved back to Kelowna some years later and while working as a parts truck driver, she was rear-ended and seriously injured. Her injuries never completely healed, which caused her ongoing health issues and chronic pain later in life. Despite her discomfort, Kezia made the trip with Grant this past December to spend Christmas in Kelowna where most of her family was able to gather.
Kezia’s huge heart and big smile for everyone she met made her loved by all who had the privilege to know her. She will be greatly missed but not forgotten.
