In Loving Memory
Kathlene Geri Grove-White (nee Machtmes)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathlene Geri Grove-White (nee Machtmes) of Kamloops, BC, on October 7th, 2024, at 67 years of age. She is survived by her loving husband Stanley Grove-White, sons John Grove-White of Kamloops, and Benjamin (Brandy Kuzyk) Grove-White of Kamloops, as well as her brother Ed (Gail) Machtmes, sister Carol Ward and sister Cheryl (Phil) Zaballero, along with several nieces and nephews. Kathelene was predeceased by her father Alfred Machtmes, mother Helen Machtmes and nephew Randy Machtmes.
Kathlene was born in Edmonton, AB, and grew up in Fort St. John, BC before her family moved to Kamloops in 1971. She married Stanley in 1978. Kathlene loved music and singing, as well as gardening, but her greatest love was family. In the 1980’s she led the singing at the 11:00am Mass at OLPH Church. Kathlene asked Jesus to be her Lord and Savior when she was 19 years old, and had faith in Jesus all her days.
Kathlene wrestled with many health issues for years. She passed away in Royal Inland Hospital due to complications from pneumonia. Kathlene is now in glory with Jesus; no more suffering.
Kathlene is dearly missed and loved.
A family gathering in her name will take place at a later date.
