John Lawrence Correia, 67 of Vernon BC, passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2023. A celebration of life will be held at 1pm February 3, 2024 at the Army Navy in Vernon, BC. 

John was born in Kingston, Ontario to Francis and Constance Correia July 10, 1956. At a very young age John discovered he had a natural talent and love for all things music after receiving his first guitar.

At 12 years old John’s family moved to Vernon. He attended Coldstream Elementary and WL Seaton where he excelled at track and field and all things mechanical. John went on to become a gifted musician and skillful jack of all trades. He had many hobbies, played in many bands, he joined countless leagues and made a lot of treasured friendships along the way. 

Family was very important to John, he was a proud father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. John had an incredible zest for life and a smile that lit up every room. He will be missed dearly and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

John was predeceased by his parents Francis and Constance, His brother Mike and Sister Theresa.

John is survived by his sons Carl and Chuck, his brother Joseph, grandchildren Jaida, Carson, Halle, Carter, Page, Alara, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

    John lived and loved unconditionally. He lived life on his own terms and and his friendship was treasured. He would do anything for his friends and family. Cindy and I miss him immensely. RIP Brother. We love you. Make sure you play a song for John. I always enjoyed our jams and gigs we played together.
