Jo-Anne Adriana Lappin

Jo-Anne Adriana Lappin (Stryk) passed away peacefully on January 26th, 2026, after a brave battle with cancer at 63 years old. She is survived by her children Hannah (Anthony) Cavacece of Chilliwack, BC, and Mathew Lappin of Kamloops, BC, as well as her grandchildren Jackson Cavacece and Adriana Cavacece, her sisters Yvonne (Dan) Trarup and Michelle Stryk, and her mother, Maria Stryk. Jo-Anne was predeceased by her father Simon Stryk and her brother Erik Stryk

Jo-Anne was born September 29th, 1962, sharing a birthday with her mother Maria Stryk. She was born and spent her early childhood years in Burnaby, grew up on her family’s farm in Monte Creek, and lived her life in the Kamloops area. Growing up, she was an accomplished figure skater, brownie scout and enjoyed spending time with her friends, sisters and brother. Her proudest accomplishments were her children, Hannah Adriana Cavacece and Mathew Simon Stewart Lappin; as well as her precious grandchildren Jackson David Cavacece and Adriana Maria Cavacece. She graduated from Thompson Rivers University and proudly worked as a Care-Aid for many years. Her hobbies and joys in life included writing, art and fishing. She loved music, the outdoors, and making connections with the people around her. Jo-Anne is remembered for her bright smile, kind soul and her resilience to always overcome.
