In Loving Memory
Jason Robert Skelton
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son Jason Robert Skelton on September 24, 2024 in Vernon at the age of 40.
Jason was born in Armstrong on April 26, 1984. He attended kindergarten to grade 12 in Armstrong. As a youngster, Jason spent a lot of time with his Papa on the farm where he would put a million miles on his power wheels Jeep and also helping Papa sand many fenders in the body shop and riding on the John Deere tractor. He loved hanging out there! When he was 10, we moved up to the orchard and he was a great help up there and was named the fastest and best fruit picker ever! He had so much fun up at the farm where he put many miles on his dirt bike and also learn to drive the truck! When he was 15, he also got a job at Askew’s Foods and worked after school, weekends and holidays. He worked there until he graduated then after grad, he left home and he started his career in the oil patch for Precision Drilling in Northern BC and then off to Alberta. In 2021 Jason moved back to the Okanagan.
Jason loved life! His family, his partner, Brie, his friends and his dog “Blue”. He was a very hard worker and took pride in every job he did. Snowmobiling with his buddies were the highlight of his life too. He truly had a heart of gold.
Jason is survived by his mom and dad Leanne & Will Maw, his brother Harley, and two stepsisters Angela & Meaghan and their families. His grandmother Ardy Wyse, aunts, uncles, cousins, Sharon Perkins and numerous friends and extended family.
He is predeceased by his grandparents Vi & George Bowie, Bill Skelton, Vi & Glen Maw, Gil Wyse, his dad Kevin Wyse, his partner Brie Perkins and his very best friend Luke Mitchell

Please bring your stories and share with us!
You never said “I’m leaving”
You never said goodbye
You were gone before I knew it
And only God knew why
A million times I needed you
A million times I cried
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died
In life, I loved you dearly
In death, I love you still
In my heart, you hold a place
That no one could ever fill
It broke my heart to lose you
But you didn’t go alone
For part of me went with you
The day God took you home
TIL we meet again my beautiful son,
Loving you always and forever
