Ian Stewart McInnes

With profound sorrow and heartbreak, we announce the passing of Ian Stewart McInnes on December 8, 2025 after suffering a medical emergency 3 weeks earlier, he was 45 years old.

Ian was predeceased by his father Kenneth Gordon McInnes in 2013 and survived by his loving mom Lucille and her partner Greg Davis as well as numerous relatives. He was born and raised in Vernon and spent his life here.

Thank you to the medical staff in ICU and VJH for their kind and compassionate care of Ian during his time there and to Kari the grief counsellor for her wise counsel.

Thanks also to the Vernon Hospice House where Ian spent his final four days.

A special thank you to Trevor Henke and his family for adding Ian to their team at Vernon Teach and Learn 5 years ago. It was a job that suited Ian to a T and he was totally happy working there.

You will be forever missed.
