Everet E. Meeks

Everet Meeks passed away at Royal Inland Hospital on December 28^th, 2023, at 62 years of age. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Everet is survived by his mother, Vivian Meeks, his brothers Virgil (April Hamilton) Meeks, and Kelvin (Andrea) Meeks. Also left to cherish his memory is his uncle, Payton (Joyce Nichols) Buckner, his aunt Pearl (Ivan) Whitelaw, his nephews, nieces, cousins and second cousins. Everet was predeceased by his father, Ernie Meeks, on October 2^nd, 2023.

Throughout Everet’s life he enjoyed watching sports on TV and playing sports of all kinds in his younger years. He loved competitive sports. He enjoyed movies, dancing (his favorite music was 70’s and 80’s), playing pool, cards, and crossword puzzles. As a pastime he liked to draw occasionally, and enjoyed going to the pub for occasional beer. Everet was a quiet, shy guy and he communicated best with 1 on 1 visits.

We would like to thank Everet’s caregivers and doctors for helping Everet throughout his life, including the mental health workers, The Hamlets Staff, and Royal Inland Hospital nurses and doctors.
