Elisabeth Emma Pattermann (nee Eckstein)

We announce the peaceful passing of Elisabeth Emma Pattermann at the age of 102 years on Dec 12, 2023 in Vernon B.C.  Born in Hanau Germany on July 24^th, 1921 she immigrated to Canada in 1951 living in Vernon B.C. and then moving on to Lillooet B.C., Hudson’s Hope B.C. and then back to Vernon in 1969. She is predeceased by her husband Kurt Pattermann, daughters Karin Funke and Patricia Alderdice and grandson Nicholas Funke. She is survived by 4 children – Bernie Funke, Barb Humpherville, Perry Brandt,  Ron Pattermann, 10 grandchildren – Mandy McLeod, Emma and Mason Funke, Tyson and Toni  Humpherville, Ashley and Michael Alderdice, Keifer Brandt, Rhianne and Raeli Pattermann, and 3 great grandchildren – Gavin and Emma Neuhaus, Ace Humpherville.

Mom owed her longevity to living a plain and simple life……and enjoying an occasional Schnapps! At her request, there will be no service. Instead, please make a donation in her name to a worthy cause of your choice. Cremation was performed by Cypress Funeral and Cremation Services and any comments or thoughts for Mom can be left on their website.

The family would like to extend our sincere heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Heron Grove long term care facility, Cabin 5, for their dedication and compassion for our mother in the last year of her life. Special thanks to Monique, Jenny, Marjie, Nikki, Brittany and Kali for all the special care given to our mom.
