In Loving Memory
David Albert Procter
July 16, 1959 – December 23, 2025
David Albert Procter of Lumby, British Columbia, passed away suddenly at his home on December 23, 2025, at the age of 66.
Born in Vernon, BC on July 16, 1959, David was the cherished son of Robert and Gladys Procter. He grew up in the Okanagan, where his connection to the land and love of the outdoors took root.
In the fall of 1982, David met and married his beloved wife, Cindy Knight. Together they raised three children, building a life filled with laughter, adventure, and enduring love.
David worked for the majority of his life in the logging industry, proudly contributing to his family’s business, Robert Procter Logging. For a time, he also explored opportunity in the Alberta oil patch before returning home to the valley he loved.
A true outdoorsman, David found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether hunting, hiking, fishing, riding dirt bikes, or tending to projects around the yard, he was happiest doing it alongside family and close friends—and of course, his loyal sidekicks, Fred and Sweetie.
David’s quiet strength, and devotion to those he loved left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Cindy; daughters Ashlee (Jenn) and Bobbi; son Reid; sister Shelley; brother Benjamin; niece Sandy; and grandchildren Jaxson and Kailee. David was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Gladys Procter, and his youngest brother, Andrew.
David will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and forever loved.
As per David’s wishes there will be no service.
