Catherine “Cathy” Vera Trainor

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our dear sister, aunt and true friend Cathy. Graduating from Vernon Senior Secondary in 1971 and after training, followed in her mother Audrey’s footsteps working in healthcare. At Delview and later Polson Extended, Cathy’s kindness and compassion touched the lives of hundreds of North Okanagan families.

Cathy loved her pets Diggy, Sophie, Bella and Georgia and leaves to mourn brothers John (Leigh) and Joe, sister Patrice, nieces and nephews Drew (Olive) Lindsay (Dustin), Michelle (Steve), Sam, Jaime, Laura and Alex. Great nephews Waylon, Townes and Sullivan, Uncle Dan and special friend and companion Russ. Cathy loved to socialize and travelled extensively with Carol and lunch dates with her many friends, all of whom are missing her terribly.

Cathy lived her life with class and style, the closets in her beautiful home attesting to her love of shopping.

We have all lost a bright light, but heaven gained a new angel. Rest in peace dear Cath.

The family will hold a private internment at Pleasant Valley Cemetery and a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
