In Loving Memory

Blanca Estella Crane

The world was blessed on January 21, 1958, with the arrival of Blanca Estella Renteria in Acapulco, Mexico. Her life was a testament to love, courage, and generosity, leaving an indelible mark in every city she called home, from Ontario to British Columbia.

Blanca is celebrated for her warm and giving heart, unshakable faith, and boundless enthusiasm for life. A skilled cosmetologist and revered hairstylist, she shared her talents with countless people, offering free haircuts to children and the less fortunate, supporting fundraisers and donating to various organizations, and welcoming newcomers to Canada with open arms, always helping those in need.

Her passion for teaching shone as she lovingly taught children Spanish, while her farm became a haven of nourishment and community. Alongside her husband, Paul Crane, Blanca lovingly tended to her farm, growing an abundance of fruits and vegetables. From their harvest, she created delicious canned goods and pies, which she joyfully shared with neighbors, friends, and family. Their farm was not only a source of sustenance but also a reflection of their shared generosity and care.

Blanca’s selflessness, thoughtfulness, and vibrant spirit touched everyone she met. She helped others find work, gathered donations for an orphanage in Mexico, and spread joy wherever she went. Her legacy of love, compassion, and kindness will forever be carried on by those whose lives she touched.

Blanca leaves behind her beloved husband of 20 years, Paul Crane; her siblings, Raymond, Ramaldo, Dolce, and Ranfe Renteria; her children, Harley Dolgopol, Adam Crane (Shelby Crane), Crystal Schenk (Michael Schenk), Theresa Keown (Trevor Keown), and Paula Coulter (Ryan Chappell); her cherished grandchildren, Rylan and Rhys Dolgopol, Vaylen and Sawyer Crane, Noah Schenk, and Ryder and Bronson Morgan; along with numerous treasured close friends. She is also survived by her former spouse and the father of five of her children, Paul Coulter.

A colourful celebration of Blanca’s incredible life will be held on Friday, January 3, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Armstrong. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in her memory to causes close to her heart, including Diabetes, Kidney, and Liver research; Carmel of St. Joseph; Casa Hogar Children’s Shelter in Puerto Vallarta/Riviera Nayarit; or through simple acts of kindness—providing a meal, helping a neighbour, or supporting someone in need. Let Blanca’s legacy of love and compassion guide us all.
