Bent Kristensen

A Life Remembered with Love and Gratitude

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bent Kristensen, beloved father, grandfather and devoted husband.

Born and raised at Ramsing, a small farming community in Denmark’s West Jutland, Bent emigrated to Canada in 1968, meeting soon thereafter the late Nina Kristensen. Bent and Nina were married for 49 years, building a family and a career in agriculture over that time.   

Bent was known for his honesty and strong ethics and worked the farm tirelessly for the benefit of the family he was devoted to and for the love of his work.  Bent enjoyed with his family experiencing the outdoors, exploring and travelling as much as possible and was passionate about hiking, fishing and kayaking in the summertime, cross country skiing in the winter. 

Bent often contributed to the community, most recently volunteering for the Armstrong Spallumcheen Trail Society and Larch Hills Nordic Society.

Bent is survived by his brothers, Kaj and Svend Kristensen, and his daughter and sons with their families.  Kim and Nick Todd, Lars and Karen Kristensen, Niels, Elaine, Terje and Søren Kristensen.
