In Loving Memory

Anna Flynn

Anna Flynn

August 22, 1952 – December 30, 2025

Beautiful Anna Flynn, born in Arnhem Holland, went to be with God on December 30, 2025 in Vernon after a stoic battle with cancer. She was 73 years old.

Anna was a loving daughter to her parents Dirk and Wilhelmina Dehaas. Anna dedicated her life to caring for her parents as her father had multiple sclerosis. The legacy Anna carries is of great love, sacrifice and dedication caring for her mother and father.

Anna waitressed for sixteen years at the Golden Carriage followed by a career doing community health care in Courtney. Anna retired in Vernon where she enjoyed the Okanagan lifestyle. Anna loved to spend time with family and friends picnicking by the pool. Anna was a avid reader and loved cozy Christmas’s. Anna was very witty with a great sense of humour.

Anna is survived by her children, Melissa, Melanie and Daniel and her dear sisters, Coby (Steve), Wilma (Tony) and Linda (Arie).   Grandchildren Dylan (Candy), Andrew (Areli) and Emjay and great grandchildren Ryan and Danny.

We would like to thank all our family and friends who were there to support and visit our mom in this past year. We would also like to thank Dr. Peters, Annas’ family doctor for her comprehensive care and kindness. The Vernon cancer clinic for their thoughtfulness and professionalism. We would also like to thank the Hospice at Home team for enabling her daughters to care for Anna at home through part of her end of life journey. Lastly we would like to thank North Okanagan Hospice house staff for your absolutely outstanding care of my mom and our family through her last couple months.

Anna was loved by many and will be missed.
