In Loving Memory
Debra Le Poidvin
On January 20th of 2022, we lost our shining light. Debra Lepoidvin went to sleep and now awaits the return of her beloved saviour, Jesus Christ. Debbie was born on Sept. 14th 1952, in Toronto, Ontario. She leaves behind her loving husband of 52 years, Dave and their children Cory (his children Hailee, Ryker, and Koen), Christopher (His wife Sandy and their children Cody, Jamie, Keegan, and Rueben), Charlie (her children Jessica, Amanda, and Sara), Michelle (her children Jasper, April, and Allyson), and Meagan (her husband Johnny), and many people who considered her to be like a mom or grandma! She leaves behind her sisters Ann Marie, Loretta, Ebony, and brothers Louie and Jeffrey. Debbie is predeceased by her mother Buffy, father Maurice, and sister Rebecca. Debbie could never turn away a person that needed help and she was loved by so many. She would be the first to tell you she was far from perfect, but to us she was pretty close. Debbie always seemed to have the right words to say to someone that was sad or troubled and she always had a spare hug or some banana bread when words weren’t enough-nobody got away without taking home some hand-knitted dishcloths or some home-canning! She never lost her child-like delight, sense of humour, or optimism. Reading the Bible with Dave, (especially while they explored the countryside on Sabbath drives) and telling others about Jesus were her greatest joys in life. She only wanted to share truth and to give others the hope that she had been given. We eagerly await that moment, that twinkling of an eye, when we shall see her raised again in a healthy and incorruptible body-free from pain and illness. We can hardly wait to see that beautiful smile again. You ran the race, Mom. You won that crown.
